Our founder
Gary Bernot, Jr. is a fourth-generation carpenter. He launched Bernot Building, Inc. in 2000 to carry on his family's legacy in Eddyville, Kentucky. Gary holds two degrees from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.

We get satisfaction out of creating something new or better for the families we work with. When we ask a new potential customer how they heard about us, it brings us joy knowing that most of the time, it was another customer who shared a story of a successful project we did for them.
Committed to staying on budget
Transparency is also key. It has always been my commitment to carefully track and closely follow your budget. Unexpected costs arise, but effective budget management minimizes the impact on the bottom line. We provide a detailed scope of work and payment schedule before the project begins and billing statements as the project progresses.
Working in west Kentucky
We have worked in west Kentucky for more than 20 years. We often build homes and do renovation projects for customers who use this area as a vacation destination – we hope that they always take into account our advice based upon the challenges of living on a lake – the heat, the storms, big swings in weather and even the winter months - all play a role in product selection and installation procedures – we work with companies to find out their process and recommendations for our climate and conditions.

The moment we reach completion brings great satisfaction – I know we did our best. I enjoy having a good working relationship with my customers that goes beyond the completion of their project.
